Old block paving that has settled
On paving that has been down twenty or thirty years, the blocks have often dropped where the sub-base has moved, usually along the wheel tracks and around a manhole or drain cover. Cleaning makes that far more visible, because once the uniform green film comes off you can see the levels properly for the first time in years.
That is worth expecting. A clean drive shows its own faults. We will point out anything structural we can see while we are working, but levelling and re-laying is groundwork instead of cleaning, and we will not pretend a wash fixes it.

Can you pressure wash a gravel driveway in Reigate?
No, and it is not a job worth taking on. Loose gravel and shingle have no solid surface to clean, so a washer just blasts the stone about and pushes dirt and weed seed further into the bed. If your drive is gravel and it is looking tired, it usually needs topping up and treating for weeds instead. We are happy to look at any hard surfaces nearby while we are there.
